Your Story:

As the Head of Content, you will be leading content operations at EX.CO in the North American market and beyond. This role will include crafting content strategies for our publisher and brand partners in the U.S. and globally; building and implementing content training and brainstorm sessions - internally and with our partners; working with our product team on new content-first products and templates while providing the content creator’s POV, and being a key part in reinventing content at EX.CO and for our partners. 

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in a content-focused position, preferably as a team leader, a creative mindset, a proactive, hands-on approach, and the ability to drive initiatives from initial ideation all the way through to execution. You will also be required to have great verbal and written communication skills, experience in a client-facing role, an ability to meet tight deadlines and a passion to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. 


As part of this role, you will be:

  • Leading content strategy for EX.CO’s partners and how they use our suite of content solutions
  • Showcasing the EX.CO content and video solutions to existing and potential partners, making sure they understand how to get the most out of our content tools, becoming a creative partner to them.
  • In charge of the content strategy, best practices, template creation, customization and unique look & feel of the EX.CO content units on our partners’ sites.
  • Managing a strong database of great content examples per vertical - for internal and external purposes
  • Lead creative ideation and content creation across different company initiatives, become the creative partner to business and product teams
  • Lead innovation within our video content solutions: new ways to deliver content that people want to engage with; Identify 3rd party content opportunities
  • Manage an editorial calendar, sharing ongoing inspiration and content suggestions/examples with our clients/prospects
  • Initiating and managing content-related projects (ongoing or one-off) that make an impact on the company’s goals (content newsletter, workshops)


It will be great if you have:

  • 5+ years experience in a creative/content-focused role, preferably working for a major U.S. publisher/media company, creating content but also leading strategic projects and executing them.
  • Experience with both editorial and commercial/branded content.
  • Background in leading a creative team and/or creative freelancers.
  • A self-starter mentality, passion for great storytelling and how technology can elevate it, curiosity about new content formats and how to drive people to engage with content online.
  • Result-oriented mindset, experience working with analytics dashboards, and backing every project with the relevant data and reports.
  • Client facing experience; experience leading training sessions or workshops - a strong plus.
  • Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Desire to work at a fast paced, dynamic startup environment that is ever changing (and never dull).
