Your Story

As an R&D Director, you will lead our Video Serving and Monetization development group and drive the development and delivery of EX.CO’s video product offering. Manage and optimize a high-scale infrastructure with billions of daily transactions, own and lead end-to-end features and handle the entire development cycle - architecture, implementation, deployment, and monitoring. As part of the job, you will work closely with the product, operations, and business teams building a great product that will directly influence the way billions of people consume and engage with video content over the internet.

Long story short, you will:

• Oversee the video serving and monetization group within the R&D department (2 development teams), fostering collaboration between various departments within the product development org and beyond 
• Lead, from planning to execution, a product roadmap based on EX.CO’s vision and strategy
• Own the design, execution, quality, and end-to-end delivery of highly scalable products managing 99.999 uptime infrastructures with billions of transactions every day
• Grow and develop a group of talented and motivated backend & frontend developers
• Cultivate an engineering culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with HR and senior management to define career paths, succession planning, and advancement opportunities within the R&D organization

And will be awesome if you have:

• 8 + years of experience in Software Engineering
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams
• A strong track record as an R&D leader with demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and achieving clear KPIs and goals
• In-depth knowledge and experience in product development, particularly in the monetization domain
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• A business-driven mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth through innovative solutions
• Ability to foster collaboration and build strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments and locations.
• Experience with cloud-based system building in a complex scale-oriented environment
